# system.kanoa.cmms.deleteWorkOrderEventStatus(workOrderEventStatusId, userId)

Deletes a work order event status record identified by `workOrderEventStatusId`.
Call this to remove a status definition that is no longer needed (for example, one created in error, or superseded by another status).
The underlying SQL constraints prevent deletion of a status that is currently referenced by other records, so the delete will fail rather than orphan existing work order event data.
