# Receive and Issue Stock

:::action[Receive the first delivery]

For each part, in **Inventory → Parts**, expand the part, click **Add Part Transaction**, and enter:

| Part | Inventory location | Qty | Transaction type | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| `CF-INS-CNMG432` | Parts Room | 60 | Receipt to inventory | `PO-2026-0101` |
| `CF-BRG-7014` | Parts Room | 4 | Receipt to inventory | `PO-2026-0101` |

| `CF-HOSE-075` | Parts Room | 25 | Receipt to inventory | `PO-2026-0102` |

Then go back and set the stocking policies from [Storeroom and Stocking Policies](../01-inventory-setup/3-storeroom-and-policies.md) if you haven't already.

Not every issue belongs to a work order. An operator changing inserts during a shift takes them straight from stores.

:::action[Issue parts without a work order]

1. Expand `CF-INS-CNMG432` and add a part transaction: Parts Room, quantity `8`, type `Issue`, notes `Insert change on Machine 1, day shift`.
2. Check that on hand is now 52, and that the issue appears in the part's transaction history with your name.
