# Custom Lot Screens

:::download[Example lot screens]
<a href="/files/trace-resources/tracePerspectiveViews.zip" download><code>tracePerspectiveViews.zip</code></a>: two Perspective views, `training/receiveLot` and `training/transferLot`.
:::

:::action[Import the screens and add them to the menu]

1. In Ignition Designer, import `tracePerspectiveViews.zip` into the `kanoaMES` project and save. The views appear under `training`.
2. Navigate to **Configuration → Application → Navigation**. Add a `Trace` menu item with two children: `Receive Lot`, opening the view `training/receiveLot`, and `Transfer Lot`, opening `training/transferLot`.

:::action[Receive and transfer a lot]

1. Open **Receive Lot**. Choose a raw material, enter a quantity and unit, and click **Receive**.
2. Confirm the new lot appears in Lot Manager at `Storage\Receiving`.
3. Open **Transfer Lot**. Choose `Storage\Receiving` as the source, select the lot you just received, choose `Storage\Bins` as the destination, enter a quantity, and click **Transfer**.
4. Confirm both "Lots at" tables update, and check the transfer in Lot Manager.

:::

How the screens work:

- **Receive Lot** always receives into `Storage\Receiving` and only lists `CoreForge\RM` items. It picks the `Raw Blending Ingredients` serialization for coating items and `Raw Aluminum` for everything else, creates the lot, then runs a `Receive` operation with one output.
- **Transfer Lot** fills both tables with `getLotActivity`, then runs a `Transfer` with the selected lot as the input at the source and the output at the destination. It also shows the lot's trace graph.

:::caution[Starting points, not templates]
These screens hard-code CoreForge's items, serialization names and receiving area. The transfer screen only rejects quantities of zero or less; it doesn't check the quantity against what's available. Treat them as examples to copy from, and add that validation in your own screens.
