# Run the Manual Lot Flow

You'll follow 2024 aluminum all the way to a shipped package of hardened coupling pins. Every step is a lot operation in **Ops → Lots → Lot Manager**: choose the operation and its asset, then enter the input and output lots.

All assets below are under `CoreForge\Philadelphia`.

:::action[Receive the raw materials]

1. Add a `Receive` operation at `Storage\Receiving` with one output: serialization `Raw Aluminum`, item `AL2024`, `1000` lbs, state `OK`. Kanoa names it `RAL0000001`.
2. Add another `Receive` at `Storage\Receiving` with two outputs from `Raw Blending Ingredients`: `100` gallons of `STD-COAT` (`RBI0000001`) and `50` gallons of `PRM-COAT` (`RBI0000002`).

:::

:::action[Machine and blend]

1. Open `RAL0000001` and add a `Transfer` to `Machining\Machine 1`: input 100 lbs, output the same lot. Receiving now holds 900 lbs and Machine 1 holds 100 lbs.
2. Add a `Machine` operation at `Machining\Machine 1`: input 100 lbs of `RAL0000001`, output `50` units of `CP-2024` from `WIP Machined Parts` (`WMP0000001`).
3. Add a `Blend` at `Mixing\Mixer 1`: inputs 10 gallons of `RBI0000001` and 5 gallons of `RBI0000002`, output `15` gallons of `BL-HRD` from `WIP Coatings/Blends` (`WBL0000001`).

:::

:::action[Coat and inspect]

1. `Transfer` all 15 gallons of `WBL0000001` to `Coating\Spray Line 1\Application`, and all 50 units of `WMP0000001` to `Coating\Spray Line 1`.
2. Add a `Coat` at `Coating\Spray Line 1`: inputs 2 gallons of `WBL0000001` and 50 units of `WMP0000001`, output `50` units of `CP-2024-HRD` from `WIP Coated Parts` (`WCP0000001`).
3. `Transfer` the 50 units of `WCP0000001` to `Finishing\QA Station`.
4. Add an `Inspect` at `Finishing\QA Station`: input 50 units of `WCP0000001`, with two outputs: `45` units of `WCP0000001` with state `OK`, and `5` units of a new lot you name `WCP0000001-SCRAP` with state `Scrap`.
5. Open `WCP0000001-SCRAP` and add a `Scrap` operation at `Finishing\QA Station` for all 5 units.

:::

:::action[Pack and ship]

1. `Transfer` the 45 units of `WCP0000001` to `Finishing\Auto Pack 1`.
2. Add a `Pack` at `Finishing\Auto Pack 1`: input 45 units of `WCP0000001`, output `1` package of `FG-CP-2024-HRD-250` from `Finished Goods Packages` (`FGP0000001`). A partial package is fine for training.
3. `Transfer` the package to `Storage\Shipping`.
4. Add a `Ship` at `Storage\Shipping` with the package as its input and no output.

:::

:::tip
Keep moves and changes as separate operations, a `Transfer` and then a `Machine`, rather than one operation that does both. The genealogy is easier to read, and each step shows up where it happened.
