Prepare Ignition Gateway
Kanoa MES requires an Ignition Gateway with the Perspective module available.
If you already have an Ignition Gateway installed and ready to go, you can skip to the next step. If not, install Ignition first.
KanoaMES supports sites in multiple timezones, but this requires that both the database and gateway servers MUST be set to UTC timezone to eliminate issues arising from daylight savings.
Step 1 - Install Ignition
Follow Inductive Automation’s installation documentation:
This guide assumes a fresh installation, but it does not have to be. You can install Kanoa on an existing Ignition system as well.
Step 2 - Ensure Perspective is available
Kanoa MES requires Ignition Perspective. Confirm Perspective is installed and licensed on the Gateway before proceeding.
If you are setting up this gateway to follow along with our self-paced training course, you'll also need to install Ignition's WebDev module.
